He does go through the licks at a pace where you can follow him, breaking down each section -plus you can always pause the DVD at any section your not 100% sure about. hope that answers your question.

I know it is handy to have tab at your side to refer to but the beauty of it being a dvd is that you can pause – rewind – rewatch. Plus the tutors do break down sections of the licks to teach you.
