Playing chords is EXTREMELY hectic. I know how to read it but it is hard. I don’t want to take lessons until I really get confused and now is not the time to. Do you have any techniques, tips, or strategies for playing guitar chords ?? THANKS! ;]

Well there’s the classic way of just remembering them all- and it’s always the classic way that works.

Another way is to understand how chords are built of scales like how the C Major Chord is built off the C Major Scale.

You can also try learning barre chords. They’re movable and you can change chords by just shifting them around the neck without changing the fingering of the chord.

For me, i used the hard way of memorizing them. Actually you really should take lessons. They will enlighten you instead of confusing you.

Good luck (:

Curl your fingers, try to align your left thumb,(if your right handed like the majority,) with your middle finger so’s keeping your hand perpendicular.

Placing your middle finger first before placing other fingers will help make more commen sense choices with fingering.

You always want to set yourself up for your next move so try to pay attention to notes or fingers that don’t have to be moved when switching chords.Good luck.

Practice?
Idk man like listen to the rhythm of the song or tap it out and strum to that.

If you’re having problems switching chords, practice forming them with out strumming then start trying to do it while strumming.
