WELL, I finally decided to learn them..but I’m just wondering..
Do I just have to memorize how to play them and their names?
Or is there more? :(
Oh, and can you recommend which to learn first? :(

Memorization, and really, you want to memorize your spacing. EVERY major/minor scale follows the WWHWWWH pattern, in terms of spacing. There are 12 notes on the guitar, so there’s 12 key’s. You can and should learn the notes in each key, which would have 7 notes in every key.

I suggest picking 1 key… like E, or C or Am and learning that scale. Learn the box patterns, learn them on 1 string, going all the way up, then in 2 string sequences, then 3 octave form… etc.

you’ll start noticing patterns. the patterns are the same for every key, you just have to shift them up or down the neck to find the key.

So, anyways, start with the key of C – which contains the notes C D E F G A B. Learn the chords in that key. Then, make a big drawing of your fretboard from 0-24 and go up and down that thing and mark out every one of the notes in that key. Visualizing this will help you see the fretboard and hit the correct notes when you move around.

Every night, as a part of your practice routine, (which should include chromatic warmups) as well as scale and chord practicing… you should sit there and just go up and down the neck and say out loud – E, F, G, A, B, C, D… etc. Try and sing the pitch to, so you become associated with the how the note sounds, so when you are somewhere playing on the neck, wherever, and you hear that note, you’ll be able to recognize it and go "oh yeah, that’s a "C"… then you can start from there and play the scale and improvise your playing.

Also, another good one to start with is the pentatonic scale, because it only has 5 notes… but I advise players to learn the major scale first, then see how the pentatonic scale fits into that.
