I have a les paul …
I have a les paul special 2 I just bought recently. I’m running a feeler at .065 thousandths under the 6th string of the 12th fret, but the amount of space is roughly twice that (about .130 could probably fit in there). The space under the first fret, 6th string is comfortably about .037 thousandths.

Should I tighten the truss rod a bit?

The gauge is a ” …
The gauge is a “feeler gauge” and just about any auto parts or Wal-mart,, Lowes, Home Depot etc type place should have one.

The cheat sheet is just something typed up. I’d say call your guitar company and find out what their set-up distances are. Also, keep in mind, your style of play can require a different action.
