I’m just looking for a beginners guitar. Nothing fancy. What should I be looking for and what price range should I expect?
What does "quality" mean? What exactly should I look for?
you should be looking for Quality and the lowest should be about 100 but the Quality wont be very good

Something between 100-200
saometiems even lower than 100 if you just want to get the basic feel.
if you want to feel fancy and just get better, you may want to go for a higher priced one.

Ok a good site to check out is musiciansfriend.com my first guitar is on that site and gives you everything you need to get started. My guitar is an ibanez IJV50 series its a great guitar for beginners. The guitar for normal retail value is close to 180-200 dollars. but you can get it from MF(musiciansfriend) for 100 but you will need some new strings without a doubt about $20 for a 3packs which include all 6 strings I would suggest martins. But the things that come with the guitar pack are not really that great. I bought the Iba used from a store and spent a lot more than 100 getting what i needed for it. The price range for a guitar depends on are you going to pay retail and go buy it from a store or order it online and probally save about 50% or better and wait maybe a month before you get it. My suggestion is if you don’t want the Ibanez then click on the options on MF and check out the price range between 100-200 dollars and read reviews about it which ever one seems like its the best deal to you is the one you should probally go with. I have been playing 3 years and already working on my 3rd guitar. I have 2 acoustics but I kept the iba for 2 years before i got my new one which is both electric and acoustic. I hope this helps you.
