I have been playing guitar for about 3 years and play in drop c 99% of the time. I am stuck in a rut and feel like im not getting any better at my playing. i would like to learn some scales or arpeggios so i can start learning how to solo.
Try the c major scale for starters. It opens up your playing and gives you an alternative to that same old bluesy style. Then when you’re comfortable with that. Try some different scales and use them amongst the c major to create a unique more structured style of play.
