I’ve been thinking of learning an instrument for a while and I’ve narrowed it down to guitar or bass. I’m kinda leaning toward the bass. Which is easier to learn?

Bass is definitely the easier instrument, but i think you’d get way more out of guitar. If you WANT to play bass, go ahead, but if you just want to do whichever is easier than go with guitar. I think you would like it much better. It is a lot harder but here’s an awesome site if you go with guitar:

If you know how to play guitar you’ll know how to play bass. If you know how to play bass you won’t know how to play guitar because it contains chords and more complicated things.

So bass it easier but guitar is more worth it because then you can play two instruments and have more of a range in music.

When you go by which is easier you lose the idea. You can’t genuinely learn things only because they’re easy to learn, but because you want to learn them.
So I’ll answer your question with a question.

Which do you WANT to learn?

Well traditionally a bass guitar is easier to learn to play, their really isn’t much chord structure to them, but if u learn guitar first learning the bass will be a given, then you will know how to play two instruments.

Bass is physically harder to learn, as the frets and strings are larger. Oh, and just because you can play guitar, you won’t automatically be awesome at bass; at the least you’ll need to adjust to the bass. The guitar, however, is more complicated theoretically.

if you have more dexterity in your fingers, go for guitar. but for bass, youl need larger hands and stronger fingers to fret those f*ckig strings. but guitar is better because you can hear it better and its more impressive and you can play solos. SOLOS!
